Hans Schneider (water polo)

Hans -Joachim Schneider ( born October 21, 1909 in Duisburg, † July 19, 1972 ) was a German water polo player.

Hans Schneider was a striker for Duisburg swimming club in 1898, with whom he was in 1939, 1940 and 1941 German Masters. At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936, he participated in all seven games, scoring 22 goals. Among other things, he scored both goals in the final match against Hungary, which ended with 2:2. Hungary was due to the better goal gold medal, Germany won silver. During UEFA EURO 1938 Schneider was with the German national team silver behind the Hungarians. Overall, Schneider participated in 55 international matches for Germany.
