Hans Sebald Lautensack

Hanns Lautensacks (also: Hans Sebald Lautensacks, * 1520 in Bamberg, † 1565 in Vienna ) was a German engraver and etcher.

Life and work

Hanns Lautensacks was a son of Paul Lautensacks. Like his brother Henry received his education at Hanns probably a goldsmith. Although he described himself as " Pictor " no paintings by him are known. His early works are based on the graphics of the Nuremberg " Little Masters ".
