Hans Teusen
Hans Teusen ( born July 26, 1917 in Salt; † February 11, 2011 in Bad Neuenahr ) was a German officer, most recently Major General of the Army of the Bundeswehr.
Military career
Hans Teusen received in World War II as a lieutenant and platoon commander of the 6th Company of the Parachute Regiment 2 hunters in Greece as part of the Airborne Battle of Crete on 14 June 1941, the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross awarded. In early 1945 he was first as a Major General Staff officer in the Commanding General of the training and replacement troops of the 1st Parachute Army.
Hans Teusen was a member from 1956 to 1977 the Bundeswehr. He took over as colonel in April 1965 the command of the Airborne Brigade 25 " Black Forest ", which he led until September 1969. From October 1, 1971 to September 30, 1973, he was commander of the 12th Panzer Division.
