Hans Theilig

Hans Theilig ( born August 12, 1914 in Hamburg, † 6 October 1976) was a German handball player.

Theilig, who played for the Hamburg Gauligisten Oberalster VfW, 1936 Olympic gold medalist with the German national handball team. Two years later he became world champion in both the indoor as well as on the field. He was also, together with the Sweden Ynge Lamberg with 6 goals scorer in the Handball World Cup 1938.

He is one of only four handball players at all, which could be world champion both on the field and in the hall.
