Hans Wölpert

Hans Wölpert ( born May 13, 1898 in Munich, † January 1, 1957 ibid ) was a successful German weightlifter.

Career

Hans Wölpert grew up in Munich and played as a boy diligently football and gymnastics. But soon it was realized his extraordinary power and so he came to weight lifting. Immediately after the First World War, where he was made to attend yet, he scored his first success and remained until 1937 in the German top- class weightlifter. He started for TSV 1860 München and has been with the team this association several times German team champion. After 1919 he had to neglect the weight lifting something but because of his training in the city of Munich. Since Germany was excluded from the Olympic Games in 1924 and 1925 to 1927 took place no international championships, Hans Wölpert could start only in 1928 internationally again.
