Happy People / U Saved Me is a double album consisting of the two albums, " Happy People " and "U Saved Me". The CD combines danceable " feel-good songs " ( " Happy People " ) and empathetic gospel tracks ( "U Saved Me" ). The album is the second double album R. Kelly and was honored in the U.S. with triple platinum.

Achievements

Happy People / U Saved Me was in the top 20 of several countries including in the UK, USA, Switzerland, the Billboard R & B charts and Germany. In addition to sold-out tours, the album also celebrated the triple platinum status in the U.S. by selling more than 1.5 million copies in the States. This was achieved although with Happy People U Saved Me, and only two songs were released. These were average to poor success in the U.S. while in the UK both reached the top 10. While Michael Jackson was experiencing a deep and Prince voluntarily resigned he beständigte its position in the R & B world and able to build on previous successes.

Content

The " Happy People " part is more for the tradition of the famous Chicago - Step Dances. R. Kelly leaves on the Red Carpet, Love signal or Love Street revive the "groove" of the 60s and 70s again and is also unique in that while most of the time used rather fast, modern beats, his album is a rather slow supple. The second part of his double album shows Kelly from his vulnerable side. On "U Saved Me", he thanked God that he saved him out of his depression, and told in " Prayer Changes " intimately from his unfulfilled dream college to become an NBA star. Are the ballads are similar to I Believe I Can Fly or If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time and are very influenced by the Kelly Classic Soul.
