Hari Varešanović

Hajrudin " Hari " Varešanović ( born January 16, 1961 in Sarajevo) is a famous and popular singer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Varešanović is famous as a single singer, composer and frontman of the musical group Hari Mata Hari and participated in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006.

Career

In his 20 - year career, he has given over 1000 concerts. In 1999 he joined with his group at the preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest with the song i Starac More at. They could not win the qualifying round, but was shortly afterwards announced that its song has already been sold to Finland and was also published there. Instead, the duo Dino & Béatrice was sent to Jerusalem.

On 9 February 2006, the Bosnian television PBSBiH announced that Hari Varešanović Bosnia and Herzegovina is represented at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2006 in Athens, Greece. His song Lejla was written by Serbian composer Željko Joksimović, the text was written by the Bosnian authors Fahrudin Pecikoza and Dejan Ivanović.

The Bosnian newspaper Nezavisne Novine said Varešanović:

"This is the best song in the world. I must admit to have never heard a better one. I am impressed by him and Pecikozas text. We made a song that springs from the spirit of our people and I am happy to sing it. "

The European viewers chose quite happy with the song Lejla by Hari Mata Hari to third place overall. In 2008 published Varešanović with Dino Merlin the song Dabogda, which was in Bosnia as the number -one hit.
