Harlan (crater)

Harlan is an impact crater on the southeastern edge of the Moon front, southwest of the crater Abel and northeast of Marinus. The rim is moderately eroded, the interior up.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 2000 after the American astronomer James Harlan Smith. Previously, the crater was called Marinus D.
