Harry Vaulkhard

Harry Vaulkhard (born 14 October 1985 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England ) is a British racing driver. His father Nigel was also a racing driver.

Career

Career start

Vaulkard first took part in motocross racing until he switched to car racing in 2004. He was initially in the Northern Sports & Saloon Championship at the start. In 2005 he moved to JS Motorsport in the Seat Cupra Cup. After he initially the eleventh and 2006, finished ninth in the championship in 2005, he celebrated his biggest success so far in 2007: he finished 16 of 20 races in the Leon Cupra R-Class on the podium and eventually won the championship in his class.

British Touring Car Championship

For the 2008 season Vaulkhard went into the British Touring Car Championship, in which he drove a Chevrolet Lacetti for Robertshaw Racing. He scored two points and finished at the end of the season 19th overall and ninth in the Independents' Trophy. The following year, Robertshaw Racing did not start. The vehicles were shifted to the Tempus team sports, from the mid-season was to Bamboo Engineering. Vaulkhard scored 22 points by the end of the championship in 16th place

World Touring Car Championship

For season 2010 Bamboo Engineering rose with two Chevrolet Lacetti in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Bamboo - pilot Vaulkhard also gave his début in the World Cup. His teammate Darryl O'Young.
