History

Emil Mauritz Hünnebeck founded in 1929 in Essen Rautennetz GmbH, which dealt with the design and construction developed by its founder diamond mesh construction. The company moved its headquarters to 1937 Dusseldorf. Hünnebeck was taken over in 1988 by Thyssen AG and merged with the since 1953 belonging to the Group service companies RöRo. With the reunification of the company opened in 1989 in the new federal states 12 branches. 1995 followed the first steps in the United States and 50% of Safway Services Inc., Milwaukee acquired. Today the company is represented in more than 30 countries. With effect from 31 August 2003, the American investment firm Sun Capital Partners acquired all the shares in Hünnebeck GmbH and its then nine European societies. Since 2005 Hünnebeck belongs to Harsco Corporation, headquartered in Harrisburg / Pennsylvania. Together with its affiliates SGB (UK) and Patent Construction (USA ) forms Hünnebeck the Harsco Infrastructure Segment.

The end of 2009 the company was renamed the company Hünnebeck, SGB and Patent Harsco Infrastructure. With 7,600 employees and approximately U.S. $ 1.11 billion in sales in 2011 Harsco Infrastructure is one of the largest companies in the industry.
