Hartog Jacob Hamburger

Hartog Jakob Hamburger ( also Hartog Jacob Hamburger, born March 9, 1859 in Alkmaar, † January 4, 1924 in Groningen ) was a Dutch physiologist.

Hamburger studied at Utrecht University, where he also received his doctorate in 1883. Subsequently, he was an assistant of Franciscus Cornelis Donders and as of 1888 professor of physiology and pathology at the National Veterinary School in Utrecht.

In 1901 he became a professor of physiology at the University of Groningen.
