Hartville is a village in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,174 inhabitants according to the census in 2000. Hartsville is part of the Canton - Massillon metropolitan area. The community is located halfway between Akron and Canton, at the junction of two main roads, Ohio State Route 43 and Ohio State Route 619 Hartsville adjacent to Uniontown.

History
Hartsville was founded in 1851 as a Mennonite community. She was part of a series of settlements of Mennonites and Amish who formed after a further wave expulsion from Europe in the 19th century in the area around the Great Lakes.
