HAT-P-3b
HAT- P -3b is an extrasolar planet orbiting the main sequence star HAT- P-3 every 2.9 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.
Discovery
Unlike the majority of exoplanets it has been discovered using the transit method. The planet was discovered by the HATNet Project in 2007.

The planet orbits its star at a distance of about 0.03894 astronomical units and has a mass of about 193.9 Earth masses and 0.61 Jupiter masses. Its radius is estimated to 62.3 thousand km.
