Hattie Winston

Hattie Mae Winston ( born March 3, 1945 in Lexington, Mississippi) is an American singer and actress.

Life

Winston was born in Lexington, Mississippi, and grew up in Greenville. She began her career on Broadway in the play The Tap Dance Kid and was a member of the Negro Ensemble Company. Since 1978 she is married to composer Harold Wheeler and both have an adopted daughter named Samantha.

Winston became known in Germany mainly through her ​​portrayal of nurse Margaret Wyborn in the sitcom Becker on the side of Ted Danson.
