Hausberg (Taunus)

The mountain at Hoch-Weisel in the Hessian Wetterau is a 485.7 m above sea level. NHN high elevation in the Taunus. Its peripheral location for about 200 m below Wetterau makes him Butzbach and environment to a striking mountain shape.

Geographical location

The mountain is located in the north of the Eastern Hintertaunus on the border of the Taunus to Wetterau. Ring wall, and the Limes fort

On the mountain and the neighboring mountain Brüler exist remains of Celtic ring walls from the La Tène period, which was commenced in archaeological investigation in 1911. Hausbergturm

Already in 1873 the first observation tower was built on the hill.
