Havetoftloit (Danish: Havetoftløjt ) is a village in the district of Schleswig -Flensburg, in Schleswig- Holstein. Since March 1, 2013, is a part of the community means fishing.
Geography
Havetoftloit is the Südschleswiger landscape fishing on the watershed between the North and Baltic Seas. In Havetoftloit pike Moor, which for centuries was used for peat extraction and is since 1941 the nature reserve is located.
History
About the history of Havetoftloit there are few documents, but it is assumed that the place was inhabited around 1231 of free peasants. The place name is probably from the Danish language, the meaning is, however, controversial. 1407, the village was first mentioned as Loyth or Lüche.
In 1970, Holm joined dam (since: Damholm ) and Havetoftloit the new community Havetoftloit together. On January 1, 1974, added Torsballig ( Torsballe ). Since 2003 there is a coat of arms.
On March 1, 2013, Havetoftloit joined with neighboring communities Satrup and dog to the community means fishing together. Last mayor was Jürgen Matzen ( AWG).
