Hāwea

Hawea is a small village in the Queenstown- Lakes District in the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located about 20 km northeast of the city on Lake Hawea Wanaka and is linked to the State Highway 6.

The population has increased in recent years from 855 in 1996 to 1,596 in the census of 2006.
