Haxo (Paris Métro)

Haxo is a never- opened station of the Paris Métro in the 19th arrondissement. It is located on an internal link between the stations Place des Fêtes (Line 7 bis ) and Porte des Lilas (Line 3 bis ) under the Boulevard Sérurier and was built in 1921 with only one direction of the platform.

History

The stations Porte des Lilas and Pré Saint- Gervais should be connected to each other in the 1920s. While the municipality of Paris as the owner of the metro network had the idea to run trains on the line 3 also go to the route of line 7, was not for the former operating company Compagnie du Métropolitain de Paris ( CMP) at only difficulties in operation looked both to low revenues.

The tunnels and tracks were still built. A single-track line, called Voie des Fêtes, since the station connects the Place des Fêtes with the station Porte des Lilas. From the Rue du Pré Saint- Gervais and the Boulevard Sérurier south, branching off of the single-track tunnel connecting missed the Métro station Pré Saint- Gervais to a few meters, which is why a separate direction of the platform a few meters south of the moving direction Porte des Lilas features of station Pré Saint -Gervais docked: Haxo.

For the opposite direction Voie was a second track, called navette built that connects directly to the station Porte des Lilas without intermediate station with Pré Saint- Gervais. Since the plan has a continuous connection of the lines was 3 and 7, however, soon abandoned, was finally decided to set up only one shuttle (French une navette ) between Porte des Lilas and Pré Saint- Gervais without using the Voie des Fêtes, however no large up popularity. The station Haxo at the Voie des Fêtes was therefore never put into operation, even access from street level to the station was never built. You will now be approached within the framework of tunnel tours.

Future Development

An amalgamation of lines 3a and 7a is provided in the Transport Plan for the Greater Paris until 2013. [ Deprecated] In addition to the routes Voie would navette and Voie des Fêtes also the station Haxo are possibly involved in a future line 15 of Château- Landon to realize after Gambetta. First, however, the features of the MF88 series would have to be decommissioned and replaced by those of MF67 series, since part of the Voie navette near the station Pré Saint- Gervais as a workshop for the very trouble -prone MF88 serves.

If implemented, would the currently traveled by the line 7 bis tunnel under the Rue des Bois between Place des Fêtes and Pré Saint- Gervais for the operation range. The currently used in passenger service platforms of Porte des Lilas - Cinema become the connection newly created station, while the previously used platforms of 3to would no longer be needed at the Porte des Lilas, including the east adjacent terminal loop of the regular service.
