Hazell Dean

Hazell Dean ( born October 27, 1956 in Chelmsford, Essex as Hazell Dean Poole) is a British singer, songwriter and producer.

Dean began her singing career in the 1970s, but was only successful in the 1980s. In April 1984, her record Searchin ' in the British charts and eventually peaked at number 6 in the same year, Hazell Dean was by the magazine Record Mirror ' Best Hi- NRG artist "of the year named.

Their single Whatever I Do ( Wherever I Go ), one of the first title, the hit factory Stock Aitken Waterman brought forth, reached number 4 in the British charts in July 1984. Only in 1988 could Hazell Dean repeat this success. A cover version of the Anne Murray song Who 's Leaving Who brought her in March 1988 again a 4th place in the UK charts. In the U.S., the musician could never claim.

Later produced and composed songs for Dean Bad Boys Inc., Miquel Brown ( It's a Sin), MEN 2 B ( Love Satisfaction) or Upside Down. There were also appearances as a background singer, so eg for Samantha Janus at the Euro Vision Song Contest 1991 in Rome.
