Hector Ayala

Héctor Ayala (* April 11, 1914 in Concordia ( Entre Ríos ), † 12 March 1990 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine guitarist and composer.

Life

Ayala began his career as a companion of tango and folklore singers in the 1930s in Buenos Aires with the guitarist Roberto Grela. Later he played in the directed by Abel Fleury Guitar groups that were known under the name " Escuadrones de Guitarras ". Since the 1950s, Ayala came on the radio and played in tango quartet of Aníbal Troilo.

Work

Ayala has published a number of original compositions (one of which especially the Americana series gained fame ), a multi-volume guitar school and some transcriptions:
