Hedda Zinner

Hedda Zinner ( born May 20, 1905 in Lviv, Ukraine; † July 4, 1994 in Berlin) was a German writer, actress, comedienne, reciter, journalist and radio director.

Life

Hedda Erpenbeck - Zinner, who published under her maiden name and various pseudonyms (Elisabeth Frank, Annette Lobesam, Hedda ), was born in Lemberg. She attended there from 1923 to 1925, the Acting Academy. Engagements have taken her to Stuttgart, Baden -Baden, Breslau and Zwickau. From 1929 she lived in Berlin, was member of the KPD, worked as a writer and reciter. At political rallies, it claimed his own poems.

In 1930 she published satirical political and social criticism poems, among others in the Red Flag, the Workers' Voice in the AIZ, in the way the woman and the magazine for all. In 1933 she emigrated first to Vienna and Prague, where the created the political cabaret "Studio 1934 " and directed; From 1935 she lived in the Soviet Union. She worked as a radio playwright for Radio Moscow and for various literary magazines.

In 1945, she returned to Berlin, where she lived in the eastern part of Berlin- Pankow during the division of the city. It was GM in the house of broadcasting ( since 1946) and worked until her death in 1994 as a writer. She was married to the writer Fritz Erpenbeck, your son is the physicist, philosopher and writer John Erpenbeck, whose daughter Jenny Erpenbeck has also worked as a writer.
