Hedgehog in the Fog

The Hedgehog in the Fog (Russian: Ёжик в тумане, Joschik w tumane ). 's A Soviet / Russian animated film directed by Yuri Borisovich Norstein ( born 1941 ) from the year 1975 it has been produced by the animation studio Soyuzmultfilm in Moscow. Action

The movie is about a little hedgehog who is on his way to his friend, the bear. As explained in the introductory narration, the two meet every evening to drink tea from the samovar the bear. The hedgehog finds himself in a surreal and often frightening world full of forms, not always recognizable, and various creatures - from dangerous predators to benevolent animals, in a world of silence and rustling, of darkness, tall grass and enchanting stars again.

The Eagle Owl, who has followed the hedgehog, suddenly appears beside him and hoots only to disappear again, and then the Hedgehog him Psycho (Russian: псих ) calls. He is frightened, but his curiosity compels him to discover the unknown. At times, a distant invisible voice is heard, the calls to the hedgehog something. Later, he falls into a river and believes that he will drown. It drives down the river on the back and is eventually rescued by a mysterious river catfish. This sets it down on the shore. The hedgehog finds himself at the camp fire, where his friend Bear tea boils. The bear told how worried he was when the hedgehog had not come. He had called out to him, but there was no answer. In the center of Kiev, Ukraine, in 2009 a statue of the hedgehog was built.

The film had a huge impact on the music video director and filmmaker Michel Gondry. This took elements of the film in the music video Human Behaviour by Björk (1993 ) auf.Anime director Hayao Miyazaki was impressed by the work Norstein and called The Hedgehog in the Fog as one of his favorite animated films.

In July 2012, the band released Samsa's dream in her fairy album Asen'ka a song titled Hedgehog in the Fog, that relates to the work. In October 2012, the story appeared under the name Hedgehog in the fog as a German -language picture book.
