Hedwig of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel (* February 19, 1595 in Wolfenbüttel, † June 26, 1650 in Pommern ) was a princess of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel and by marriage Duchess of Pomerania.

Life

Hedwig was a daughter of Duke Heinrich Julius of Brunswick- Wolfenbüttel (1564-1613) from his second marriage with Elizabeth (1573-1625), eldest daughter of King Frederick II of Denmark. A brother Hedwig was Christian, " the great Halberstadt ".

Hedwig married on February 7, 1619 in Wolfenbüttel, Duke Ulrich of Pomerania ( 1589-1622 ), Bishop of Pomerania. The marriage was celebrated very complex in the presence of 16 ruling princes.
