Hedy Stenuf

Hedwig " Hedy " Stenuf ( born July 18, 1922 in Vienna, † November 7, 2010 in Hallandale, Florida, United States) was a former Austrian figure skater, which was launched in a single run for Austria, France and the United States.

Stenuf was first known in the United States when she accompanied in 1934, at the age of eleven years, Charles Shepherd on a runway show tour through North America.

In 1935 Stenuf played their first European and World Championships. In domestic Vienna, she finished fourth at the World Championships. The European Championships she finished in seventh. At the Olympic Games in 1936 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen they finished sixth. It was the last time she went to the start for Austria. The European Championship 1936, she played for France. There she was sixth. In 1937, she finished the Championship as well as the World Championship in fourth. From 1938 represented Stenuf then the U.S. and won their only medals. At the World Championships in Stockholm, she won the bronze medal behind the British women Megan Taylor and Cecilia Colledge. 1939 in Prague, she was in the absence of Colledge World runner-up behind Taylor. 1940 Stenuf went at the U.S. Championships at the start and was second behind Joan Tozzer.
