Heidi Brunner

Heidi Brunner (* 1961 in Lucerne) is a Swiss opera singer in the vocal range soprano.

Biography

Training and beginnings as a mezzo- soprano

Heidi Brunner studied singing, organ and conducting in Zurich, Lucerne and Basel. After first appearances in Basel, Innsbruck and Biel she was from 1993 to 1995 in the engagement at the National Theatre Dessau. After an engagement at the Komische Oper Berlin Brunner was from 1996 to 1999 member of the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Volksoper. At the Volksoper in Vienna she sang among others in the new productions of La Clemenza di Tito, La Cenerentola and Norma. She also sang the title role in La Périchole.
