Heinävesi

Heinavesi [ hɛi̯nævɛsi ] is a municipality in Finland.

It is located in Southern Savonia landscape. The municipality has 3746 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) on an area of ​​1319.1 km ² water surface of 288.7 km ².

The municipal area is a part of the Kolovesi National Park.

The channel Varistaipale is the channel with the largest difference in height in Finland.
