Heini Otto

Hendrikus Otto ( born August 24, 1954 in Amsterdam ) is a former Dutch football player.

Career

Otto began his career at FC Amsterdam in 1974 and remained until 1977. Upon his first player station we went to FC Twente Enschede. The former Dutch Cup Winners obliged the midfield for three years, after which he went to Middlesbrough FC in England. There he made ​​his debut against Tottenham Hotspur in 1981, the Borough lost 1:3. On the island, the Dutch remained for five years before returning in 1985 to ADO Den Haag in his home. In the seat of government of the Netherlands Otto played another seven years, and he finished his career. He was able to win a single title as a player.

International Otto played once for the Dutch national team. Its use was strange, because Otto slipped into the squad as he chauffeured his club colleague Jan Jongbloed the meeting point of national at the airport. The players convened Willem van Hanegem did not come to the meeting point. So Otto was quickly convened and ran for the game against Yugoslavia and thus came to its single use in a team. Furthermore, he participated in the European Football Championship in Italy in 1980 as a substitute. Otto was not used and the Netherlands difference in the group stage as a group of third parties.

Coaching career

Otto was from 1997-2000 assistant coach at Ajax Amsterdam. He won as an assistant coach in 1998 the Dutch league titles and the 1997 and 1998 Cup. From 2000-2001 he was head coach of HFC Haarlem.
