Heinrich Boller

Life

He played 1940-1949 for the Zurich Schlittschuhclub (today: ZSC Lions ) and 1950-1959 for the hockey section of Grasshopper Club Zurich (today: GCK Lions ). He had 55 appearances in the Swiss national ice hockey team. His greatest successes celebrated Hanggi Boller with the national ice hockey team, which won in St. Moritz Bronze at the Olympic Winter Games in 1948. At club level he was in 1949 with the Swiss Zürcher SC Champion and won the Spengler Cup. Between 1953 and 1958 he was a Swiss national coach.

He was coach of the GCK Lions Zurich; as section president, he won 1965/66 with GCK the Swiss Championship.

Hanggi Boller was active for many years on the Board of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation, and later an honorary member of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. In 1974, he served as founding president of the " Swiss hockey friends", where he was appointed Honorary President later. He was an honorary member of the Zurich Cantonal Association for Sport ( ZKS ).
