Heinrich Simroth

Heinrich Rudolf Simroth ( born May 10, 1851 in Riestedt; † August 31, 1917 in Gautzsch in Leipzig ) was a German zoologist.

Career

Simroth in 1875 at the University of Strasbourg Dr. phil. in Zoology PhD ( Dissertation title: "On the knowledge of the musculoskeletal system of the infusion animals "). From 1876 to 1879 he worked as a teacher at the secondary school in Naumburg. His habilitation in 1888 at the University of Leipzig. As of the summer semester 1889, he taught in Leipzig, where he was in 1895 appointed associate professor.
