Heinz Schimmelbusch

Heinz Schimmel Busch ( born 1944 in Vienna), nicknamed " Schibu ", is a German -Austrian industrial managers with today's residents of the U.S. in Wayne (Pennsylvania). Heinz Schimmel Busch has studied economics at the University of Tübingen and received his doctorate there.

Time at Metallgesellschaft

1973 began his professional career at Metallgesellschaft AG (also called short "MG "). In 1989 he took over at the age of 44 years by his predecessor Dietrich Natus as CEO of the company. He was the youngest CEO in the history of MG. Numerous, mostly leveraged buyouts, he ran an aggressive expansion strategy around the two newly defined key strategic fields of environmental technology and metal raw materials and the interpretation in individual cases could also be generous. The number of employees increased within three years from 38,000 to 62,000. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of German Industry and the Bureau of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. In 1991 he was named the manager magazin Manager of the Year.

1993 resulted in oil futures in North America, a massive imbalance. At the insistence of Deutsche Bank, who presented the Chairman with Ronaldo Schmitz and at the same time shareholders and bank of MG was that futures contracts were sold contrary to the opinion of Heinz Schimmel Busch. Since 1994, Heinz Schimmel Busch founder and CEO of Allied Resource Corporation and Managing Director at Safeguard International Fund, a private equity firm. He is also CEO of AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group in Amsterdam.

On June 23, 2007 reported the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that Heinz Schimmel Busch has founded a new company called Metallgesellschaft, after the name had been some years previously deleted from the commercial register. The business purpose of the new MG based in Elsteraue are commercial transactions with non-ferrous metals.

June 30, 2008 Heinz Schimmel Busch was elected to the Supervisory Board of the Russian resources company Norilsk Nickel.
