Heinz Wemper

Heinz Wemper ( born June 8, 1903 in Hattingen, † 15 May 1985) was a German actor. He is regarded as one of the great actors of the early German sound film.

Life

In his first film, " The Ship of Lost People " (1929 ) he acted alongside Marlene Dietrich. From 1929 turned Wemper two films a year, such as (1937 ) on the side of Hans Albers and Heinz Rühmann " The man who was Sherlock Holmes ." In the big hit movie "Dance on a Volcano " by Gustav Gründgens and Heinz Wemper (1938 ) he excelled in one of his signature roles.

His artistic work changed in the postwar period primarily in the direction of the theater stage. As a young theater actor he had made a great name as a fist on the German stage. He also worked very successfully in the postwar period as a film director. 1960 created Wemper a hitherto completely new movie theater type, the " Total Film Theater" in Reinbek. A few years after the opening of "Carpe Diem" adopted many German and foreign " movie theater openings " his patent. Wemper did away with the rigid and plan screen of a conventional cinema. He created the first the "half round screen " and thus asked the audience a much larger movie experience than before.

Heinz Wemper was married in first marriage to fellow actor Hela Gruel, this marriage remained childless. In 1942 he married Gerda Doerk and was the father of three children, two girls ( Thordis Alrun ) and a son (Timmy -Hagen ).
