Helge Reiss

Career

Reiss graduated in 1949 graduated from high school and then began at the Nationaltheatrets elevskole ( Drama School of National Theatre) an actor's training. From 1949 he was firmly in the Det Nye Teater, from the Oslo Nye Teater was 1959. Reiss was an indispensable part of this theater and worked there for 50 years until he retired in 1998. A special talent he showed at the theater during conversion of humorous and poetic roles. Reiss was involved in many Norwegian film and television productions as well as a film actor.

In all of Norway was Helge Reiss in 1976 known for his portrayal of Baron Løvenvold in the film Olsen Gang for full musikk the Norwegian Olsen Gang film series. In 1979 he took over the lead role of Professor Drøvel in the television series Brødrene Dal. Moreover, he played in 2009 the role of the bohemian poet Gregory Bang in the television series Hotel Caesar the Norwegian broadcaster TV 2, 2009, he said the main role of the figure Carl Fredricksen in the Norwegian dubbed version of the computer-animated feature film Up.

Family

Helge Reiss was the son of Norwegian actor Leif Thor Reiss (1898-1988) and his wife, actress Esther Colbjørnsen Dahl ( 1896-1941 ). Since 1951 he was the Rector Marit Billington ( 1928-2004 ) married and is the father of jazz musician George Michael Reiss ( born 1956 ) and theater actress, dramaturg and director Esther Reiss (born 1954 ).
