Helgi Valur Daníelsson (born 13 July 1981 in Uppsala, Sweden) is an Icelandic football player. The central midfielder, who was active in the course of his career outside of Iceland in England, Germany and Sweden, made ​​his debut in 2001 for the Icelandic national team.

Beginnings in Iceland and England

Daníelsson started his professional career in 1998 with a commitment to Fylkir Reykjavík in the second Icelandic league.
