Helmut Thieltges

Helmut Thieltges ( * 1955 ) is a German chef.

Life

Thieltges is the only child of restaurant owners Vincent and Mary Thieltges who led the Pension Elisabeth in Dreis. After his apprenticeship in the Roman emperor in Trier, he moved in 1973 in the Castle Hotel Pontresina near St. Moritz, then in the Breidenbacher Hof in Dusseldorf and 1977 in the restaurant 's Bastion in Cologne. Since 1978, he cooks in the family " forest Sonnora ", which is located in a forest on the outskirts of Dreis.

Thieltges are few interviews, no published cookbook and will only concentrate on his work. Nevertheless, he can now enjoy of encouragement by guests from Belgium, Luxembourg and France.
