Henk van Stee

Henk van Stee ( born December 17, 1961 in Rotterdam ) is a former Dutch football player and current coach. He is currently working as a junior coordinator for the Russian first division club Zenit St Petersburg.

Playing career

As a professional football player worked for Sparta Rotterdam and De Graafschap Doetinchem VBV Henk van Stee between 1985 and 1990. On December 15, 1985, he made ​​his debut in the Eredivisie in the 2-1 away win over Sparta Rotterdam FC Twente Enschede. Until 1989, he reached with his team regularly placing in the middle of the highest Dutch league. In the season 1989/90 van Stee played for VBV De Graafschap in the Eerste Divisie, the second Dutch league.

Coaching career

As assistant coach of his former club Sparta Rotterdam van Stee began his coaching career in 1990. In April 1995 he took over after the resignation of Han Berger briefly his duties as head coach before the new season with Henk ten Cate also a new coach was presented. On whose side he was then an assistant coach before he was presented in 1996 at second division VVV Venlo as a coach. In the same year he took over as coach of the first division club AZ Alkmaar, which he held until October 2002 and was then replaced by Co Adriaanse. After that, he was a coach at Excelsior Rotterdam, the former farm team of Feyenoord. The club played at this time, a season in the top Dutch league. Thus he was already employed by all three major football clubs in his hometown of Rotterdam. Then he was again employed at the youth academy of Feyenoord. 2006, the Dutch left his home for the first time and was junior coordinator at Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk tradition. For the 2008/09 season, however, van Stee returned to the Netherlands and became a coach at his former club and first division VBV De Graafschap Doetinchem. De Graafschap played under the van Stee again a bad season and he was on leave as manager in February 2009.

Since September 2009 he has headed the football academy of the Russian first division club Zenit St Petersburg.
