Henri Félix Emmanuel Philippoteaux

Henri Félix Emmanuel Philippoteaux ( born April 3, 1815 in Paris, † November 9, 1884 ) was a French painter.

At the École des Beaux -Arts in Paris was a pupil of Léon Philippoteaux Cogniet and devoted himself to the battle painting. He themed important battles with French participation and has always sought by his knowledge of history to represent the historical truth realistic. His son Paul Philippoteaux was also a painter.

At the age of 69 years Félix Philippoteaux died on November 9, 1884 in Paris.
