Henry I. Miller

Henry I. Miller is an American Fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Life

Miller holds a M.Sc. and M. D. Since 1979 he has worked with the Food and Drug Administration. He was there the medical examiner for the first genetically engineered drug. From 1989 to 1993 Miller was a founding director of the Biotechnology offices of the FDA.

After his time in government, he began to publish scientific articles and popular science works. His contributions have appeared in publications such as The Lancet, Journal of the American Medical Association, Science, Nature, Chronicle of Higher Education, Forbes, National Review, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Financial Times. His book, The Frankenfood Myth was chosen by Barron's among the 25 best books of 2004.
