Henry II, Duke of Münsterberg

Henry II of Münsterberg (Polish Henryk II Ziębicki; Czech Jindřich Minstrberský, † March 11, 1420 in Livonia) was 1410-1420 Duke of Münsterberg.

Life

Henry II of Münsterberg came from the family of the Silesian Piast dynasty. His parents were Duke Bolko III. Münsterberg and Euphemia, daughter of Duke Boleslaw († 1355 ) of Bytom and Cosel.

After his father's death in 1410 Henry joined forces with his older brother John to the government of the Duchy of Münsterberg. During their rule, the parish church of Münsterberg was enlarged and equipped with foundations. Henry was said to be the Teutonic Knights, for which he took part in the fight against Lithuania. On March 11, 1420 he is fallen in Livonia. Subsequently, the Duchy of Münsterberg of Henry 's brother Johann was ruled alone. With his death in 1428 the Münster Berger branch of the Silesian Piast dynasty in the male line.
