Bolesław of Bytom

Bolesław of Bytom and Cosel (also Boleslaw of Bytom and Cosel; Polish Bolesław Bytomski; Czech Boleslav Bytomsko - Koselský; * 1330, † 1354/1355 ) was Duke of Bytom and Cosel. He came from a branch of the Silesian Piast Beuthener.

Life

His parents were Duke Władysław of Bytom and Cosel and his second wife Lukardis / Luitgard, daughter of the Duke Pribislaw II of Parchim Rich Mountain. 1347 to wed Boleslaw the Moravian nobles Margareta von Sternberg († 1365 ). The couple had daughters

• Elisabeth ( † after 1373 ); ∞ (1360/1363) the Duke of Teschen Przemislaus I.

After Boleslaw older stepbrother Casimir III. , Since the 1336/1337 the Duchy part Cosel belonged, died 1342-1347 unmarried and without issue, Cosel fell to Boleslaw. He inherited after the death of his father in 1352 and the duchy of Bytom and united both parts of the duchy of Bytom - Cosel.

After the death of Boleslaw 1354/1355, which went out the Silesian Piast Beuthener part of the line, there was a dispute over inheritance to the Bytom - Coseler heritage, which was home like as a completed fief to the crown of Bohemia.
