Henry Joseph Grimmelsmann

Henry Joseph Grimmelsman ( born December 22, 1890 in Cincinnati, USA, † June 26, 1972 ) was Bishop of Evansville.

Life

Henry Joseph Grimmelsman received on August 15, 1915, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On November 11, 1944, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Bishop of Evansville. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Giovanni Cicognani Amleto, donated to him on 21 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Denver, Urban John Vehr, and the Auxiliary Bishop of Cincinnati, George John Rehring.

On October 18, 1965, Pope Paul VI. that of Henry Joseph Grimmelsman put forward reasons of age resignation and appointed him titular bishop of Tabla.
