Henryk Kowalczyk

Henryk Kowalczyk ( born July 15, 1956 in Żabianka ) is a Polish politician, a local politician and since 2005 member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Legislature, former State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture in the government of Jarosław Kaczyński.

In 1980 he finished his studies at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Warsaw. From 1979 to 1990 he worked as a mathematics teacher in the School of Agriculture in Golądkowo. Between 1990 and 1998, and from 1999 to 2005 practiced Kowalczyk from the office of bailiff ( wójt ) of the municipality of Vinnitsa. From 19 February to 31 December 1998 he was voivode of Ciechanów Voivodeship. In the years 1999 to 2002 he sat in the Parliament of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship.

In the years between 1992 and 2003, he was one of the Zjednoczenie Chrześcijańsko - Narodowe (Christian- National Association - ZChN ) to. Since 2005 he is a member of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość ( Law and Justice - PiS). In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was elected for the constituency of Siedlce on the list of PiS in the Sejm.

From 7 June 2006 to 16 November 2007 he was State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Plenipotentiary of the Government for the design of the farming system.

The Sejmwahlen 2007, he was confirmed for the PiS with 13,600 votes as a Member. He belongs to the Sejm commissions for public finance and agriculture.

From 1980 to 1981 he was chairman of the operating committee of the opposition Solidarity trade union in the agricultural school of Golądkowo. From 1989 to 1992 he headed the Citizens Committee "Solidarity " of the community Vinnitsa. He belongs to the Akcja Katolicka ( Catholic Action ) of the Diocese of Płock and was Deputy Chairman of the Diocesan Council in the years 1999 to 2003 and is a member of Ruch Światło - Życie (Motion Light Life ).
