Henryk Leon Strasburger

Henryk Leon Strasburger (* May 28, 1877, † May 2, 1951 in London) was a Polish politician and diplomat. He was a Polish Commissioner-General in the Free City of Danzig ( 1924-1932 ).

Strasburger studied in Heidelberg and Kharkov. In 1913 he received his doctorate. 1920 to 1923 he worked in the Industry and Commerce Ministry and Foreign Ministry of the Second Polish Republic. Subsequently, he was a Polish representative in Danzig and was replaced in 1932 by Kazimierz Papée.

During the Second World War was Strasburger 1939-1944 Member of the Polish government in exile in the UK.

Family

His uncle was the German botanist Eduard Strasburger.
