Herb Drury

Herbert Joseph Drury ( born March 2, 1895 in Midland, Ontario, Canada, † July 1, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ) was an American professional ice hockey player. He played on the position of the defender.

Career

At the Summer Olympics in Antwerp in 1920, he won the U.S. national team, which was composed of players from St. Paul AC, Pittsburgh and Boston AA AA, the silver medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament. The same he succeeded at the Olympic Winter Games in 1924 in Chamonix, where he scored 22 goals in five games and three more besides. In the NHL he played from 1925 to 1930 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and after the franchise moved in the season 1930/31 for the Philadelphia Quakers.
