Herb Edelman

Herbert " Herb" Edelman ( born November 5, 1933, Brooklyn, New York, NY, † July 21, 1996 in Woodland Hills, California ) was an American actor.

Life

He played the role of Stanley Zbornak, for which he was nominated twice for an Emmy Award in the TV series The Golden Girls. On the screen you saw him, among other things in the movies Odd Couple opposite Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, in Barefoot in the Park next to Jane Fonda and Robert Redford in Sydney Pollack's The Way We Were alongside Barbra Streisand and Robert Redford in The Crazy California hotel next to Michael Caine, Walter Matthau, Jane Fonda and Maggie Smith.

In many series, he was seen in guest appearances, so among other things, MacGyver, Cagney & Lacey, Matlock, LA Law, Charlie's Angels, Kojak, Mission: Impossible, The Boss, Murder, She Wrote and The Love Boat.

From 1964 to 1970 Edelman was married to actress Louise Sorel, the marriage ended in divorce. He died on 21 July 1996 from emphysema.
