Brito, full name: Hércules de Brito Ruas, ( born August 9, 1939 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian footballer. He played in the defense of numerous clubs, as well as in the Brazilian national team. His career highlight he experienced in 1970, when Brazil won all qualifying and finals matches of the 1970 World Cup in Mexico and became world champion. Brito was part of the starting eleven and played through all the games. The man with the shirt number 2 was also in the final against Italy in the starting lineup, which Brazil won 4-1. Between 1964 and 1972 he played for the Selecao a total of 45 times, and has already come once in 1966 for use during the World Cup in England.
