Hermann Huppen

Hermann Huppen ( born July 17, 1938 in Bévercé ) is a Belgian comic book artist and songwriter. He renamed only by his first name and is therefore known only as Hermann.

The best known of his works are the series Comanche, Andy Morgan and Jeremiah.

Biography

Hermann was born in 1938 in Bévercé near Liege. After studying furniture design, he worked as an interior designer. 1964, he wrote and drew his first comic for the magazine Spirou. Greg recognized his talent and asked him to continue to work as a cartoonist. In 1966 he started with Greg as a copywriter with the series Andy Morgan, who appeared in the magazine Tintin. 1969 was added as a further series Comanche.

In 1977 he began to write their own stories and realized the very successful series Jeremiah, which is still published today. In 1983, the gambling in the Middle Ages Series added The Towers of Bos - Maury.

In addition to the serial number of individual volumes, as well as the now- filmed tape emerged Blood Wedding.
