Hermann Stork

Hermann Stork ( born August 30, 1911 in Giessen, † 12 June 1962 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German diver who at the Olympics won the bronze medal in platform diving in 1936.

Hermann Stork started for SV White Blue Alliance Frankfurt and trained with Fritz Nicolai. 1934 and 1935 he won the German championship in the diving. In 1934 he also won the European Championship.

At the Olympic Games in Berlin two Americans placed in the tower jumping in front of two Germans. The winner was Wayne Marshall before Elbert Root, Hermann Stork won the bronze medal by a narrow margin on the Dresden Erhard Weiss, who should be his successor as European champions in 1938.
