Hermann Wagner

Hermann Wagner ( born May 20, 1941 in Freudenstadt ) is a German physician, former Professor of Medical Microbiology and Immunology and Alt- Dean of the Medical Faculty of the Technical University of Munich.

Life

Wagner studied medicine at the Eberhard -Karls- University Tübingen and received his doctorate in 1967. A research stay in Melbourne, Australia, he graduated in 1973 with a Ph. D. from. He continued his research at Paul Klein at the Institute of Microbiology of the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz from 1973 to 1983 continued.

In 2003 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. The German Society for Immunology appointed him in 2005 as an honorary member. Wager was launched in 2007 as a full member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences. In the same year he was awarded by the Bavarian Prime Minister, with the Bavarian Order of Merit. Wagner is a member of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina since 2008. In 2013 he received an honorary doctorate from the Rheinische Friedrich- Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.
