Hernán Siles Zuazo

Hernán Siles Zuazo ( born March 21, 1914 in La Paz; † August 6, 1996 in Montevideo, Uruguay) was one of the most important politicians of his native country Bolivia in the 20th century and ruled the country as president from 1956 to 1960 and from 1982 to 1985. From 1952 to 1956 he was Vice President.

He was the son of the former Hernando Siles Reyes Bolivian president and dedicated after graduating from law school in the 1930s, the rest of his life in politics. He failed, due to the protests of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB ), the umbrella organization of the Bolivian trade unions.
