Hero of Belarus

Hero of Belarus ( Belarusian: Герой Беларусі; Łacinka: Hieroj Biełarusi; Russian: Герой Беларуси ) is the name of the highest award of the Belarusian state. The Order was along with several other awards, launched on April 13, 1995 by decision of the Council of the Republic N 3726 -XII, and awarded awarded to eleven people. It can be awarded for outstanding contributions in the military, economic, social or political. The model for the Foundation was the Soviet Order of Hero of the Soviet Union. By awarding the state's honorees and their spouses hedges certain financial advantages and benefits to the health care.

Awardees

So far, ten men and one woman have been awarded with the Order. Four awardees were announced on 30 June 2001 at a stroke by presidential decree. .

  • ULADZIMIR Karvat ( Уладзімір Карват, 1958-96 ) was the title awarded posthumously in 1996. He was a pilot of the Belarusian Air Force. On 21 November 1996 its Su -27 caught fire. Although he was given the command to save himself with the ejection seat, he steered the plane toward a hill and let it smash there, because he feared that otherwise it would crash over a residential area.   • Alaksandar Dubko ( Аляксандар Дубко, 1938-2001 ) was also posthumously honored for his " brave service to the state and society ."   • Michajił Karčmit ( Міхаіл Карчміт, 1948-2004 ) was the chairman of the kolkhoz Snov ( Снов ) in Minsk Woblasz. He was " selfless work and brave actions in the development of agriculture " honored for his.
  • Vital Kramko ( Віталь Крамко, * 1941) is the chairman of the collective farm "October" ( Октябрь ) in the Hrodsenskaja Woblasz and was also awarded for his services to agriculture.

  • Mikhail Vysotsky, researchers at the National Academy of Sciences
  • Piotr Prokopovich, President of the National Bank

On February 17, 2014 President Alexander Lukashenko gave the biathlete Darya Domratschawa the first woman to the award after she won her third gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
